Global Cardiac Alliance

Global Cardiac Alliance, formerly Novick Cardiac Alliance, works with local hospitals and healthcare teams to improve care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease in low- and middle-income countries.

Founded in 2014 by Dr. William Novick and colleagues, the alliance combines treatment with education and long-term partnerships. Its updated name reflects the international reach of its work and team.

Care for Children

Visiting specialists work alongside local clinicians to provide pediatric cardiac care where families have limited access to treatment. The alliance’s website reports more than 2,800 lives saved, 168 trips, and work in 20 countries since 2014.

Training Local Teams

Bedside instruction, lectures, and practical teaching help healthcare professionals develop the knowledge and clinical judgment needed to care for children in their own communities.

Partnerships That Last

The goal is for local teams to deliver cardiac care independently over time. Programs adapt to each hospital’s resources and patient needs, with continuing professional relationships and support.
