IPA missions bring volunteer perfusionists, physicians, nurses, students, and other healthcare professionals together with local teams to expand access to cardiac care. Your time, expertise, and compassion help make this work possible.

Credentialing

Help the mission team prepare by completing the credentialing form. Contact your coordinator if you have questions about the documents needed for your role.

Reimbursement

Submit eligible mission expenses using the reimbursement form. Check the coverage details below before booking.

  • Flights: up to a predetermined threshold.
  • Lodging.
  • Local group transportation to and from the hospital.

Meals and drinks are normally not covered.

Confirm the flight threshold and reimbursement arrangements with your mission coordinator before booking. Keep your receipts when submitting eligible expenses.

Preparing for Your Mission

  • Connect with your coordinator. Confirm your role, mission dates, travel arrangements, and required documentation.
  • Complete your paperwork. Submit the requested credentials and check that your coordinator has everything needed.
  • Plan expenses in advance. Confirm reimbursement arrangements before booking or purchasing items, and keep supporting receipts.
  • Work alongside local teams. Bring a collaborative approach to patient care, teaching, and learning throughout the mission.
